Every now and again oor Loopy Linda will be adding her own original poems.
Here are a few to
be going on with.
A walk along Thurso beach
As I walk across the soft white sand,
I realise I am on the edge of land
As I take a walk along the beach,
I look for pebbles, I find one as smooth as a
peach.
I make my way dodging the waves
I find myself reaching the rocks and Caves
Inside I find some carvings, I can see the Salvation
Army crest
I can see the name J Campbell but I can’t make
out the rest
As I make my way back along the shore
I find shells and pebbles an much, much more
I find a thing that looks like it was once a
brolly
I can even see, half sunk in the sand, a shopping
trolley
As I walk back up to the esplanade I stand in
Dismay
And I see the beautiful scene when looking out
to the Bay
As I stand and stare out to the sea
I think to myself, Thurso is a wonderful
place to be
